Dr. Julie Fine

Founder/Owner/DVM

Dr. Fine was born and raised in southwest Pennsylvania and, consequently, is a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998, which created her love for the Buckeyes. She began her Veterinary career on the East Coast but eventually found her way back to Ohio because it felt like home. She worked in a few veterinary clinics, which helped shape her vision for how she wanted to practice veterinary medicine and ultimately helped her realize she needed her own clinic.

In 2012, she embarked on a new adventure and began learning Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and Acupuncture. This adds another layer of treatment options for her patients.

When Dr. Fine is not working or cheering for her two favorite football teams, she enjoys flea markets, craft and antique fairs, reading and gardening, just to name a few of her interests. She currently resides with two feline sisters, Maya and Gracie.

Andrea Mykrantz photo

Andrea Mykrantz

Andrea was born and raised right here in Columbus, Ohio. From a very young age, Andrea had a special connection with animals and knew they would be her life’s passion. Her first job in high school was at a local pet supply retailer. She loved educating the public about nutrition and helping them choose the best products for their pets. It was through this line of work that she first learned of the existence of the “registered veterinary technician.” Andrea immediately contacted the advisor of the veterinary technology program at Columbus State to make sure she had all of the prerequisites needed to enroll. She began the two-year program in the fall of 1996, and by spring of 1998, Andrea was proud to call herself a registered veterinary technician.

Andrea first began working in the veterinary field while in school. After graduation, the clinic she was working for hired her on full-time and she remained there for 17 years. In addition to her technical duties, she also became the clinic’s practice manager. Andrea gained a huge amount of invaluable knowledge during her time at this practice. However, she also developed new interests in behavior and holistic medicine that she wasn’t able to pursue while under their employ. Bravely, she spread her wings to seek out her desires. Luckily, the universe saw fit to lead Andrea right here to Whole Pet Wellness Center in April of 2016.

In a field where most technicians burn-out within two to three years, Andrea remains passionate about her career. She believes there is always something new to learn and as such, she attends multiple lectures, seminars, and conferences each year. In addition to her excellent core technical skills, Andrea is a level one healing touch for animals practitioner and is very experienced with using animalEO® essential oils with pets.

At home, Andrea and her husband, Matt, live with their very opinionated dachshund, Gwen. Three super lazy, spoiled cats also reside within their family. One very old lady cat, Arwen, and two, also old and five positive boys, Badger and Chuck Shurley. In her spare time, Andrea enjoys taking Gwen for walks, geocaching, letterboxing, playing Pokémon© GO, as well as keeping up on their various geek fandoms!

Elisabeth Talbott photo

Elisabeth Talbott

Elisabeth has lived in central Ohio almost her entire life and even from a young age, she has loved animals of all kinds. From her first job cleaning stalls at an equestrian center to then walking dogs at a small animal clinic, Elisabeth knew that she wanted to work with animals but wasn’t sure how to make that happen. She was introduced to what a Veterinary Technician was while a Junior in high school and never looked back. She graduated from the Veterinary Technology Program at Columbus State Community College in 2009 and passed her VTNE the same year. Even though she loves horses and farm animals, small animal medicine has always been her place. Through the years she has had the privilege of working with not only dogs and cats, but also with primates, big cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, snakes, lizards, fish, and other pocket pets. She was able to work at a large specialty hospital in Columbus in the Anesthesia and Surgery Department under some amazing doctors, which gave her a passion for small animal anesthesia, which she still enjoys.

Elisabeth keeps busy at home with her hubby, their son, and two Siamese mix kitties named Odin and Ronin. She is dedicated to animal rescue and has experience in dog training (especially competitive obedience) and therapy dog work.

Elisabeth came to Whole Pet Wellness Center a few years ago and absolutely loves it! The way that Dr. Fine is able to blend Western and Eastern veterinary medicine has been such an educational experience for her. She loves learning new things each day and couldn’t ask for a better team to do it with!

Elizabeth Miller

Beth started her career at the young age of 17, in a small vet clinic in Clintonville. She has gradually taken college courses in animal science and psychology. After losing her childhood cat and best friend to cancer, she found her passion in Integrative veterinary medicine and helping to keep the animal-human bond healthy, especially when pets reach the end of their lives. She takes great pride in offering fear-free and gentle care to each and every patient she works with, while counseling owners during difficult or stressful times.

In 2013, Beth traveled to Florida to attend the technician course at The Chi Institute. This is the same school that Dr.Fine attended for her Acupuncture & Nutrition certificates. At the Chi, Beth learned additional technical skills like Tui-Na massage, Moxibustion, Electroacupuncture Machine Handling, Acupressure and the basics of Herbal medicine. Additionally, Beth has been able to offer Cold Laser Therapy and Tui-Na Massage to the clients at Whole Pet Wellness Center for the past two years.

Beth is currently enrolled at Penn Foster College and is completing her associates in veterinary nursing. She will eventually specialize in Veterinary Rehabilitation and Hospice care.

Aside from work, Beth is happily married to Dylan Miller where they have five Australian Shepherds, one Beagle, three cats and a horse. All of their four-legged family members are the result of rescuing, fostering and saving over 60 animals. This was a dream they were fortunate enough to make a reality during the beginning of their relationship.

Mali Lewis photo

Mali Lewis

Mali is a young lady who aspires to, one day, be able to help improve and better the lives of the animals around her. She has known from the moment she was born that a career in animals was the path for her. She loves all creatures but wants to specialize in exotic and avian care. One day, she hopes to travel to Africa and work with all of the amazing wildlife, and assist with the conservation efforts occurring there. After graduating high school, her plan is to go to vet school to become a veterinarian.

Mali lives at home with her parents and siblings. She also cares for her hedgehog, Nym, and two fish named Cleo and Clementine. In her free time, she enjoys researching many animals and how to train and care for them.

Mali is most grateful for the opportunity to work at such an amazing place at a young age. She feels tremendously lucky to have the chance to learn about her passion from her many knowledgeable peers.
